On November 23, linyongfei, chairman of the polyurethane products special committee of the China Plastics Association of the US Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), announced that the Chinese patent office had become the world's first publisher of chemical invention patent applications. For more than a decade, China has followed the development of the Japanese Patent Office (JPO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Its patents have surpassed the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) respectively in 2005 and 2006. In 2008, the month on month growth rate of Chinese chemical patents exceeded that of Japan for the first time. In 2009, China will become the world's first publisher of chemical patents, and CAS predicts that China will continue to maintain this leading position for a certain period of time

"chemistry is recognized as the 'central science'." Dr. Matthew toussant, senior vice president of CAS business, said, "chemical patents are the core of many industrial processing and scientific fields, such as drugs and natural extracts. In fact, on average, 35% of new invention patent applications are related to chemical substances."

"CAS has recorded a significant increase in patent literature over the past decade. During this period, chemical related patents published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) increased by more than 500%." Christine McCue, vice president of CAS marketing, stressed that "in the same period, China's invention applications increased by nearly 1400%, in which the mass production of innovative materials and the introduction and utilization of processes are mostly used in the pharmaceutical field. More than half of China's patent applications come from China. This phenomenon undoubtedly shows that today's Chinese scientists have fully realized the importance of putting research inventions into commercial applications."

cas with the help of advanced technology, thousands of scientists have found and recorded some chemical patents of the main products produced by nachengde zongchi, such as universal testing machine, impact testing machine, melt activity rate meter, thermal deformation, Vicat softening point temperature tester, hydrostatic testing machine, pipe drop hammer impact testing machine, ring stiffness testing machine, etc., which can not be retrieved by conventional search engines. CAS' unique technical system enables scientists around the world to analyze the patent records of 60 authoritative patent agencies around the world. All patent records from 9 major patent institutions that meet the CAS selection criteria can be retrieved in CAS database through the Internet within 2 days after the patent is released, and CAS scientists will compile a complete index within 27 days from the date of patent release. CAS scientists conduct and review the collected data to give it additional value. In addition to providing the name of chemical substances and the unique CAS Registry Number, this database also includes relevant information from all over the world, such as references, preparation methods, spectral data, and regulatory information
